Collaborate - Learn - Achieve
The Spire Church of England Learning Trust was established in February 2018 with the aim of creating a collaborative partnership of schools. The Trust is committed to sharing best practice and working together to raise standards and improve outcomes for all pupils.
At the heart of the Trust is a three‑fold focus on collaboration, learning and achieving. We believe that bringing learners of all ages together fosters deeper and broader learning, enabling everyone involved to achieve their full potential.
Through this collaborative approach, learners are encouraged to contribute to something greater – a transformative education that empowers them to become positive, active influences in the wider world. Central to this vision is a strong commitment to inclusion and the celebration of diversity, recognising the importance of community and connection.
The Trust welcomes schools who share this ethos, whether or not they are Church of England settings. As a Church of England Trust, we are rooted in a mission of openness and hospitality, valuing and respecting the unique experiences and contributions of every individual.

Since February 2023, three schools within the Trust have been inspected by Ofsted under the 2019 Education Inspection Framework. Two schools demonstrated significant improvement in their outcomes. St John’s CE Middle School was judged good overall, with a number of inspection areas recognised as particularly strong. We are extremely proud of the achievements of all three schools, their staff and pupils!
